Hiatus broken

Wow. I've only gotten one post aside from this one for November. Very bad. This past two weeks just flew by and whenever I found myself on the internet I just wasn't feeling as inspired as I used to be. I didn't reblog or post much of anything on Tumblr which is considered out of the ordinary already.
Anyways here I am again. Like I said, it's been a blur. I went to Phuket for four days and then on to Hong Kong for 6 days. Crazy. My feet are numb from all the walking, really. Whenever I'm on holiday, my feet aren't.
Highlights: Spending quality time with friends, in Phuket and Hong Kong. It doens't come often so this was like a bonus for me. So good for the soul, really. Makes you appreciate the little time you have with the people you love.
Lowlight: I forgot to bring along my mp3 player so I was stuck with my own thoughts throughout my flight to Hong Kong. For almost 4 hours, and I couldn't sleep much either. It's like being awake with a nightmare.
Lots of photos taken. Honestly, I don't know when I'll get to them. Have to work tomorrow and Friday. Ah, the taste of working a 5-day week. Gonna be bitter.
Promise I'll be back asap.

'Tis the Season

{haha...from The Thought Experiment via nevver}

When the holidays arrive, you're bound to not be able to update blogs and other social networking sites you might have. So I'm sure anyone would understand when I say I didn't have the time nor the mood to sit and write something here. heh.

Anyway, I'm currently...
Reading: Leo Tolstoy's Anna Karenin
Listening to: Band of Horses' first album
Experiencing: a nasty infection on my left foot area which hurts when I walk..
Waiting: for January, really. As crazy as it sounds. December is too chaotic for me.

Oh! I went to Penang with the gang for a short escape from the craziness (work for them, home for me) and it was mostly a food expedition with a little sight-seeing thrown in for good measure.
Prawn mee, Asam Laksa, Cendol, MuarChee/Mochi, Samosa, Nasi kandar, Tambun biscuits, hot puttu, Char koay teow, grilled chicken, Curry mee, Popiah, Satay, Lobak, oh goshh...

All I can say is this: Awesome. And we should do it more often. Didn't take many nice photos but I do have some, so I'll post a few next time.

And December means one thing: Christmas!!
And it reminds me that it's already been more than a year since I went to Paris (sigh)...

Happy Holidays and Blessed Christmas!

old news, but in other words..

cool stamp collage by eklektick (via goodnight little spoon)

Sorry for the as-always silent treatment for too long but it is the holidays and I guess I need a little vacation away from the computer from time to time as well, right? Not that I'm a hell of a writer writing day and night anyways, eh.. Anyways, besides the chaos that is my brother's return from Ukraine for good and his graduation and wedding...I've still managed to find some interesting stuff online (yes, I don't feel like blogging but I do still read other people's blogs haha..)
OK so thanks to Sam Sebastian, I checked out this hilarious article: If Historical Events had Facebook Statuses. Gawd was it a good laugh. And it doesn't end there. I was curious about what this whole website was about (it's called Cool Material) and I stumbled upon yet another interesting article on Diego Gravinese, an artist. Holy crapzer he is just too damn good for this world.

In other elements, I've discovered (and rediscovered) instrumental music. mostly guitarists. electric guitarists. Paul Gilbert, Jimi H, BB King..awesome. I have to say this is all because my bro is crazy about them and gave me a listen and then made me crazy about them.

Although I've been dying for the holidays, I've found myself dying to get back to uni and KL...

welcome back, me

wow, Europe was eye-opening.
(but isn't it always?)
everyone keeps asking me "how was Paris? how was Europe?"
I'm really at a loss for words..I just say "goooood"
all I can really say is..it's not what I expected..
BUT-you can't complain about the scenery..the countryside..oh.my.gawdd.
it is to die for.. that's one thing I love about Europe..or maybe the Western countries.
The scenery. The green. The white. Breathtaking.
capturing it on camera is not doing it justice but that's the least a traveler can do.
On my trip though, I learned/discovered a few things:
Jack Kerouac (although he's American)
Josephine Baker (also American at first)
Italians are worse than the French
I'm not used to the winter too well..
Paris is quite dirty, sadly.

I'm too sluggish to post any photos here cos even doing it on facebook is so taxing..
I'll be off to Krabi, Thailand for New Years on the 30th (woohoo!)
looking forward to that..

I'll leave you now with this song which sounded extra awesome while i was on the road :)

Paris, j'arrive!

Wow, I feel like the worst sloth in the world..It's been too long since I last posted :(
feeling really bad...
My excuse: it's the holidays..I tend to do nothing but watch lotsa tv
(more like tv shows on the computer..)
It's about 2 days to my flight to Paris.
Yay!!
My mum, aunt, aunt's friend, and me will be going on a 7-day tour after being in Paris for 2 days
We'll be going to Italy - Rome, Venice, Milan, Florence...; Switzerland - Basel..; Monaco - Monte Carlo; and also other places in France like Cannes (!!!!), Nice (!!)
Aaahh this would be my first time in Europe and first time ever going on tour while I'm there :)
Oh, I will be visiting Disneyland too! should be awesome
I will tell you much more about it after I've come back from Paris, def ;)
On another note, I've come across more beautiful websites =)
Enjoy these:
The Next Page (a collaboration of DaydreamLily with English Muse!)
Lily and the Muse (another collaboration by the dynamic duo!)
The Boo and the Boy (there are some really good decorating ideas)
{Paris, you're in my dreams}
