notes

wooo last day til August gets here and I'm spending it by chilling out and going out for a show tonight. Lymbyc Systym is down and I thought, "why not?" Gonna be on a electronic-disco-superfly-shoegaze-rock (I think) high with Adeline. Should be good.
Anyway, just wanted to share that I love this woman's fearless style.

And my lovely friend just started her own blog and I'm enjoying the photos of the places and her style. Now I can't wait til I get to travel to Canada.

Song of the day: Sex and Candy - Marcy Playground (I'll never get tired of this song.)

It's going to be August too soon

Oh. My. Oh. Man. August is coming so soon. July is going to be over too soon.
Holy.
I'm really doing this. I'm really going through with this. As much as I kept telling myself and others that I might not be ready, they kept telling me that I could do it. And now I can safely say, I believe them. So thank you, Joachim, Adeline, Miss Chee. I'm gonna kill this mutha*****. (Excuse me. It helps to get all gangsta to boost my spirit up.)
Few things have happened so far.
1) I went to this awesome house which will remain a dream for me to have one day.
2) Went out for some live music after a long, long, long time. Felt good.
3) Played drinking games with my cousins because there was nothing else to do on a Sunday afternoon. Yeah. We're hard core like that.

So next Monday I'll be off to the printer's to get my program notes all done up. Then it's rehearsal for my recital. I don't even know if I can fit into my dress. I'm not sure if that dress is appropriate. I haven't gotten shoes. It's insane.

Currently very hung up on Foals' album, Total Life Forever, Wes Anderson movies, and Michael Cera.

peace+love, kids.

Things to be thankful for in June

Since it's already July (holy crap) I thought I'd do a little flashback into what was significant in June.
Firstly, I met up with my first blogger friend, Marthe Hagen from The Freedom Experiment in KL. We just chilled the whole afternoon in a quiet and quaint cafe in Ampang (my first time ever, there). My friend, Jonny introduced me to this secret hideout (as I'd like to call it) and I fell in love with it ever since.

And then my birthday came. And went. And it's always awesome to get presents at my age. All I have to say is presents are still welcome. Most welcome.
Body lotion and soap from my best friends in Uni (Theresa, Kathy and Kawai) Okay so this is a pretty terrible photo but I'll change it as soon as I take a better photo of what was inside that package ;)
*edit: Okay so I wasn't going to change the photo because I'm not a professional blogger.

A Beatrix Potter goodness, a crazy notebook which I will not be using in a long time, and a nametag, further confirming my current state of mind.
all from Adeline :)

I did also get lots of money so I'm thankful for that because it's what's keeping me alive since I'm literally jobless. For now. Still figuring out what I'm gonna be doing once I'm done.
