love note

Slipping, slipping
Pulling away
stares
As far as she goes
He runs after
when the dark days come
Letting go seems inevitable
but not for him
not for me
Her hands hold tight
to his shirt
The only thing she knows
in this world
for sure
is
He is the one.

Ok this is my sad attempt at writing without thinking too much. I will do better next time. I don't really care if this is all bad I just needed to get it out.

Every You Every Me

{photo from KissMeQuick}

Sucker love is heaven sent
You pucker up, our passion's spent
My heart's a tart, your body's rent
My body's broken, yours is bent
Carve your name into my arm
Instead of stressed, I lie here charmed
'Cuz there's nothing else to do
Every me and every you.

Sucker love, a box I choose
No other box I choose to use
Another love I would abuse
No circumstances could excuse
In the shape of things to come
Too much poison come undone
'Cuz there's nothing else to do
Every me and every you.

Sucker love is known to swing
Prone to cling and waste these things
Pucker up for Heaven's sake
There's never been so much at stake
I serve my head up on a plate
It's only comfort, calling late
'Cuz there's nothing else to do
Every me and every you.

Like the naked leaves the blind
I know I'm selfish, I'm unkind
Sucker love I always find
Someone to bruise and leave behind
All alone in space and time
There's nothing here but what here's mine
Something borrowed, something blue
Every me and every you.

So I wish I wrote this song. It's a good feeling getting into a song and really 'hearing' the words. There's something poetic about lyrics of songs. Don't get me wrong, not all songs out there are poetic, oh no. Only a select few. And I have yet to discover some of them still. Another songwriter/writer/poet I'd like to highlight is none other than the amazing Brandon Boyd. Oh, I'll be getting his book White Fluffy Clouds soon! I don't think I need to go on further.

{couldn't resist this. Sorry I lost the source for this cool photo}

of shrews and good covers

{one of the various movie posters of 10 Things I Hate About You}

I just watched 10 Things I Hate About You for what I think is the 30th time (or more, but who's counting). And it always makes me laugh and leaves me smiling to myself like an idiot. Yup. This is the movie that got me into Julia Stiles because I felt like she was her character and I wanted to be like her so very badly (as pathetic as it sounds). I just loved her suave character and basically everything about her. Also, this was my first time watching Joseph Gordon-Levitt on the big screen and I was uber-hot for him. Ah. Last but not least, Heath Ledger. I fell in love with him instantly. And I wished he and Julia were a real couple everyday after that. I think Heath Ledger is the only actor of whom I would hate to talk about. I just cannot talk about him. Anyway, here's a little something I stole from this awesome movie that took my 'virginity' in terms of teen movies. And this is the best first time anyone would want to have had.
-10 things i hate about you-

I hate the way you talk to me,
and the way you cut your hair.
I hate the way you drive my car,
I hate it when you stare.
I hate your big dumb combat boots,
and the way you read my mind.
I hate you so much it makes me sick,
it even makes me rhyme.
I hate the way you're always right,
I hate it when you lie.
I hate it when you make me laugh,
even worse when you make me cry.
I hate it when you're not around,
and the fact that you didn't call.
But mostly I hate the way I don't hate you,
not even close,
not even a little bit,
not even at all.

Ahh..I will never tire of this movie. Never. Including its soundtrack. Just makes me fall in love with the 90's all over again. I'm a closet hopeless romantic but I guess not so 'closet' any more. You got me, I surrender. I long for old movies nowadays. The lucky people in the US and probably everywhere else have a special TV channel dedicated to old movies. That is my idea of paradise, definitely. Yes I'm a movie addict. And I probably need help and that's OK.

I wish we had paintballs that didn't require guns. damn

One Day We Will Be King And Queen

One day I will go to the French countryside, be it in Normandy (where these photos are taken) or Provence or where ever, to stay in a quaint little cottage. I see myself reading a good book in a chair (like the blue one in the photo above) as the sun shines in, but I don't mind it because the weather is still cooling. And in the evening, we would take bicycle rides on the drive path. This, to me, is the ultimate dream, the ideal life (though some actually have theirs, so there's no harm in dreaming).

P.s: Feast your senses with more alluring photos of life in the French countryside at sfgirlbybay's blog here :)

The (absent-most-of-the-time) Silver Lining

{image from weheartit}

feeling quite empty inside now. But don't worry I have a few ideas as to why that is. Suddenly, I've been having the need to shop online but all the nice stuff that I like are from webshops overseas, mostly Australia and US and UK. ahah... such is life. It really loves to kick you in the balls (pardon my manners) whenever it feels like it. If I were a boy, I'd probably be dead or extremely injured right now. Yup. I plan to do some shopping. Yes, the wallet falls victim to whatever this is.

New York (and Paris) I love you

So, I've heard lotsa stories about New York not being what one would expect it to be, but I'm not discouraged. I still want to see it for myself. And this cool website Brooklyn Vegan, helps a little. It's actually a site covering all concerts and gigs happening in New York (of bands I love to hear, no less) so it's really cool. And I know for sure there are a lot of things to do besides shopping..who shops in New York anyway..not me, that's for sure. Anyways I just came across this cool photo of Devendra Banhart and I couldn't resist but to share it here.

{wouldn't have imagined him like this, but OK}

On a lighter note, I'm working on getting a part-time job. Hopefully that works out. I need some extra moolah but then again, who doesn't right?
