Frustration Central

I'm so overwhelmed (in my head) that I can't find a way to start on a project. But thank God for the boy because I can talk to him about anything and everything.
Here are just some of the stuff I wanna do. Man, I need a life coach to push the hell out of me.

{Tassel garland, just for fun

Yup. Most of the stuff I wanna do requires the use of a sewing machine. But that's just one of the reasons stopping me from moving forward. My grandma gave me a hand-held sewing machine, which means it's really small, like a mini travel-size sewing kit. But I need to get it serviced first. The ultimate dream is to get a good normal-sized sewing machine. Preferably a Brother one. (Might as well dream big since I'm dreaming already)

And I should stop making my overambitious to-do lists since I'm not really cancelling them off any time soon.
Plus, I'm feeling really terrible for not having any real content to share here. I really want to learn some basic photoshop skills so I can make some pretty images and words to put on here. It's a little intimidating, so it might take a while before I get to do something with it.

Wedding prep is going quite well, can't wait for everything to be settled. Excited but also nervous, very nervous. The guest list is a little too long, and as bad as it sounds, I'm hoping to reduce it a bit.

Also, Adam Yauch passed away. Very sad for the Beastie Boys. He was a talented musician and filmmaker. This one is my all-time favorite (sorry if I'm being very cliche).

What the -

I wish I was the one who created these jaw-dropping, hard-to-believe-it's-a-collage images.

Yep. All you need is paper and archival paste. And some bad ass cut-round-the-edges skills. So far, Beth Hoeckel is at the top of the bad ass list.

Rainbows and butterflies

new project

new project part 2

So happy with myself this week. Started a new "project" so this is a sneak preview. I'm giving it to someone so I can't wait to finish it :) Hope that person likes it. All kinds of goodness happening this week. Tomorrow there's Busco's EP Launch, Thursday I'm meeting up with a girlfriend for lunch, and Saturday it's Halfway Kings' party gig show! So exciting this week is.

I uploaded Hong Kong photos onto Facebook but I'll try and put up some of my favorites here soon (after I edit them to look prettier).

much love Monday

I love Lucky Stars
made this (just the stars) for the boy but I'm afraid it's too feminine for him hah.

I remember learning how to fold these lucky star things in Brunei when I went there to visit my aunt, around nine years ago. My cousins and I were stumped with nothing much to do and found these in the supermarket and decided to pick it up. I haven't stopped since :) It's a good way to pass the time but my fingers get numb or hard or something after too much of folding. Recently I bought the star strips from a bookstore but I just realized how bad they look. From now on, I'm going to make my own strips and they're going to look awesome. Much more awesome than those here.

Plus, since I had the heart-shaped bottle and I filled it up good, I just wanted to take part in this Much Love Monday project thing. Feels good. :)

Jakob Dylan's Cool Dad

I'm excited even though this happened last week but I've posted my first letter :) So all I need to do now is wait and see if it actually reaches the recipient safely..Oh how I hope and pray for its safety..
Here's what I did with the envelope.. Kinda made a mistake by using thick art block paper. (the genius I am)

I hope I surprise my recipients because I love surprises and who doesn't?
In other news: I came across this cool photo of Bob Dylan. So adorable (although it looks photoshopped, but still) :)

This then reminded me that I needed to get an education on Bobby and a whole lot of his albums. There's a book out (a long while back) and I think it would be awesome to read it... I came across a really cool photo of him in his 20s in New York but it's in my Rolling Stone magazine and I don't have the facility of a scanner at the mo. :(
