I have to come to terms with my (big) wedding (dream) plans. I've been swayed too far away by the beautiful wedding sites (here, here, and here, and anywhere else not Malaysian). They made me dream (a helluva) big for when it came to my own wedding day. They made me believe I could DIY favors for each guest, DIY everything and anything. They made me think I could have a garden wedding (I can't because we Catholics have to be married in a church).
But NO. I have 500 (or a little less) guests, and the maximum number of guests American/European/Australian couples have are 150 people. I have been so strict with the guestlist and we still managed to reach 500. Kerraazzyyy.

I need to get out of my dream and come back to reality. The most that I keep thinking about nowadays is the decoration part. There are so many details, and I just don't think I can do that. And I just got a little pep-talk about Malaysian weddings (guests, actually). They wouldn't remember about the decor much, just the food maybe, and how much alcohol they had, and if they had a good dance session after dinner.

So from now on, I'm gonna put up a sign wherever I can see it with these words:

(sidenote: I have officially failed at August Break. It's worse than last year's attempt, goodness gracious me. My only lame excuse shall be that I have started working full-time and am therefore too tired to think of anything (or come up with a photo) to post. Hence the posts about wedding woes full-on. For this, I am terribly sorry. I do dream of one day blogging almost-full-time. For now, it remains a dream, until I develop something to blog about and maybe (hopefully) something handmade-but-awesome to sell.)

Last

Last day of the August Break! (Imagine if I actually had one photo for each day) So I went to the outskirts of Sepang and it was like an adventure. It actually felt good to feel like a tourist, in my own country.

Oh Brother

It's been too long since I last hung out with my brother (right). I don't remember. So when he wanted to go out to pick out a guitar I just thought yeah, why not. It kinda sucked because I don't know how to play the guitar (something I'm resolving by teaching myself. Slowly). But I dunno, I was okay with just wandering around trying to look like I knew how to play the guitar. His friend, Rahul is such a chill guy who happens to be my friend's brother, who also happens to be a damn good guitarist-drummer-bassist-musician (you get my drift). Yeah it happens. Anyway.

Happy Birthday, Koh Koh. I love you.

I just think people don't say it enough to the people they care about, these days.

I hope I get your present in time. And that you have a good day at work and get to celebrate after.

Chocolicious Sundae with fresh strawberries at Delicious. I think it's one of the most sinful desserts I've had in a while. If you didn't see me with it, you'd think I was making very peculiar-sounding moans and sighs. You cannot finish it by yourself. Anyway, it's always more fun to share. I had a good lunch date with my cousin, who's got to be the most loving person on this planet. Love her so much. 

Starting to notice a lot of plans coming up since I've been (self)-declared free from anything university. So stoked.

Hot chocolate and JUICE magazine, in a Borders Starbucks. Almost too good to be true. It was a good day because I got to meet my awesome friends after looking so solitary. Such a good day. We watched Winter's Bone. It was so good. Now I understand the hype about Jennifer Lawrence.

Belated birthday treasure from my boy. I was ecstatic! He actually conspired with a guy he knows whose band was opening for Incubus in Kuala Lumpur to help him get a signed copy of their latest album. Too sweet. Almost too thoughtful. Damn. And it definitely makes missing the concert a little easier to deal with.

August Break

I kinda decided to loosely take part in this little exercise. I don't know if I'll be able to do this every day of the month (seeing as I should be busy preparing for my recital in almost 10 days) but I'll try. Should be fun. And it makes me use my head and my camera more. That's always a good thing. So here's my first one. I'm already 2 days behind but that's fine.

Yep. A cat from around the neighborhood came to my front porch and slept under my car for the whole day. I couldn't bring myself to chase it away. It looked so peaceful and chilled. Plus, it was a hot day. 

And now I want to get my own little kitten.

I'm doomed.
